““Each of these books…is a door, a gateway to another place and time.”
– Anthony Doerr
Traveling in the time of Covid is a big pain in the ballpoint pen. Covid tests, and endless amounts of paperwork. In Italy the Covid test is particularly heinous, way down in the throat AND both nostrils to the brain. Ugh. But, we did make it home, happy, healthy and a little bit bigger and more tan. It was the most marvelous summer in Italy we might have ever had, with traveling throughout Italy, with so little tourists. This is gonna be brief, next months’ should be loaded with new Fall adventures.
Raffling this cute dress
Home for a week to prep two little people going off on school adventures away from home. Also coming October 25th the book club I started with ENTITY Magazine is on! We have Georgiana Pazcoguin and her book “Swan Dive.” Stay tuned on my social media, we have five books we will be giving away when you rsvp and we are also raffling a beautiful mesh dress from M. Stevens.
If your BOOK CLUB would like me to visit via Skype, I’m available AFTER SUMMER. It’s been fun coming into your homes, sending specialty FAN cocktail recipes before for you all to try, email me at [email protected] if you want me to join in. A questionnaire is on the website to download for your Book Club.
This is crazy good
I did come home to a stack of remarkable books. This Fall you will have so many to pick from. It’s not out until October, but you must read Anthony Doerr’s “Cloud Cuckoo Land.” His last book “All the Light We Cannot See,” won a Pulitzer. This one is about dreaming and searching for a land where everything is perfect. It spans 6 centuries from ancient Greece to a spaceship in the future.
Gotta dash…catching another plane.
And what I’m reading or recently read
for complete list, I have everything on Good Reads
as I can’t remember them all!
Excuse the typos . . . the bane of my existence
